Introducing the Foodsmart Marketplace

As more and more Americans practice social distancing by limiting trips to the grocery store in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, many have turned to alternative ways to feed their families while still eating healthfully. Meal kits and prepared meals are both options that are stepping up to fill that gap, offering convenient and healthy options with fresh ingredients.

Find and order delicious meal kits and prepared meals in the Foodsmart Marketplace. As part of our COVID-19 response, we’re offering the following discounts to Foodsmart members through June 30:

  • Prepared meals: meals are discounted at $12 per meal, and Zipongo members get 10% off
  • Meal Kits: get 20% off your first order and 15% off all subsequent orders

NEW! PREPARED MEALS through Plantable

If you’re looking for a quicker option that still packs a nutritional punch, Foodsmart has partnered with Plantable, a New York-based company that delivers plant-based heat-and-eat meals to your door. Each meal is made with whole foods and contains no added sugar, refined grains, or processed ingredients. These meals are balanced with plant-based protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats.

The minimum order for Plantable is 14 meals, which provides you with the perfect stress-free opportunity to reset your eating habits and jump start your journey to improved health. Plantable’s meals come to you frozen, which ensures that their nutrients are retained until you heat them up in the microwave, on the stove, or in the oven. The menu is tailored to your food preferences and shifts to reflect seasonal changes; right now, you can look forward to tasty meals like Thai Coconut Green Curry and Magic Mac “Un” Cheese.

MEAL KITS through Sun Basket

For families or individuals who are still looking to have a hand in the cooking process, Sun Basket offers pre-portioned and easy-to-follow recipes that pack in plenty of produce straight to your doorstep. Each 30-minute recipe is dietitian-approved and uses seasonal and organic produce, responsibly raised meat, and sustainably sourced seafood. Depending on your family’s eating preferences, you can choose between eight different meal types, including Paleo, Gluten-Free, Lean & Clean (fewer than 550 calories per serving), Vegetarian, Mediterranean, Quick & Easy, and Diabetes-Friendly.
